古くは料紙に使われ、襖紙や壁紙として日本の暮らしを彩ってきた「京からかみ」。
その美しい文様と豊かな風合いは
職人の手によって一枚一枚、丁寧に生み出されます。
「唐丸（からまる）」は、
「京からかみ丸二」直営の体験工房とショップです。
Historically used for poetry paper, traditional sliding doors (Fusuma), and wallpaper, “Kyo-Karakami” has beautifully colored Japanese lifestyles. Its exquisite patterns and rich textures are meticulously created by the hands of our craftsmen.
“KARAMARU” is a hands-on workshop and shop directly managed by the publisher “Kyo-Karakami Maruni”.

Feel the authentic woodblocks passed down for generations, the texture of pigments mixed with Funori seaweed, and the emotion when the pattern emerges on Washi paper.

Established in 1902, Maruni Co., Ltd. has preserved the tradition of Kyo-Karakami.
